USPS signed my name 😦(Update)

[ Edited ]

I'm not sure what to feel. I had not received a package in a long time so I went to the tracking # and read what it said. It said my mail carrier with the USPS deliverd it to me and said I signed. This has happened 2x now.

I went onto the USPS site and requested a copy of 'my signature' to which I was to have signed for my deliveries.

Neither were my signature. Both were written by the same person I feel. I believe my carrier signed my name.

My first delivery I got. My 2nd package I never received.

I've reported it all to the appropriate places with the USPS. But I'm feeling hurt that my mail carrier would sign my name and not ring my bell and have me sign for them.

I've never seen the guy/gal. So I also put a note in my mailbox to please come to my door and meet me face to face. I included a note as to what's taken place and my missing package.

I 'think' he's lazy and maybe does not want to bother knocking, so he leaves things on my front table out front. Well, somehow the jewelry package did not arrive to me.

The package is insured by the nice seller but to think a USPS employee would do this twice, has me worried as to their honesty/integrity.

The USPS fraud dept. will get back to me in 3-5 days.

Again, he left a box on my table out front today and did not come to my door to meet me as I'd requested.

@cbrite  The drivers are not allowed to sign for you unless you give permission.  If a driver delivers it into my hands, sometimes he will say he will sign, but usually, I have to sign.  I definitely would keep on top of this especially since you didn't get a package.  At My Choice, there is an option to sign before something is delivered, which is nuts, why would anyone sign before they received their package(s).

@cbriteCertainly sounds as if the carrier you have isn't following USPS protocol.  Please let us know what the fraud department tells you.  I'd be horrified to find out he/she is following some new policy.

@mousiegirl I would never give him/her permission. I've never seen him/her. The signature is horrible and very obvious it's not mine. Maybe he thought he was doing me a favor to not bother me......but the jewelry package never got to me and it's not cheap. I just can't imagine he/she would take it. Both packages came to me by the same company.

@cbrite  I will add that I have huge notes very specific as to what the drivers are to do, and either they read them and ignore them or don't do as I ask.  My regular driver will lean on his horn all the way up the driveway so I will hear him, the others are afraid to.  I instructed them to knock hard on the door with the huge door knocker, they don't.  I confronted one the other day as I happened to be standing in the front hall and heard a tiny tapping on the door with knuckles, so went downstairs and let him have it.  He was afraid to use the doorknocker even though I told him to do it.

The reason I have to sign for everything is because over a year ago, on the same day, four packages were not delivered, only one, though the driver logged in that they were, so now due to their mistake, I have to suffer with signing, though it is better in that they can't not deliver and get away with it.

I hope this is rectified for you soon.

@cbrite  Imagine it.  One driver told me recently a package was not on the truck.  I saw a zulily package and asked him to check it, sure enough, it was mine, so he ranted that it was supposed to be on a certain shelf in the truck, blah, blah.  I have had so many issues with UPS, it isn't funny.

You can file an online complaint on the USPS.com website.

That was the only way I got my local post office to respond to a problem.

Re: USPS signed my name 😦

I only have big issues with the USPS...never much with UPS or Fed Ex.... Maybe I need to give them something out of my gift drawer, lol......

I will keep you informed. He/she will most likely lose their job...and I hate that too.

UPS usually knocks twice, signs my name and leaves the package at my front door.   Once in awhile they will knock and ask me to sign, or sometimes they leave packages at our Condo Mail Center where we've given the Condo Association Rep permission to sign for our packages and we get a text or email notifying us of a delivery.  And until they are picked up the packages are kept in a locked mail center station. But you have to pick up the packages during the office hours which can sometimes be a pain.

And USPS either puts packages in our mailbox or leaves them at the Mail Center. What irks me about USPS....he's STUFFED clothes in the mailbox making them all wrinkled instead of taking them to the Mail Center where they would not get wrinkled and today I got a notice a package arrived and it was a book that would have easily fit in my mailbox and he's done this before too (other small things Ive had to go to the Mail Cener to pick up which was unnecessary) ...Woman Frustrated  If its in the mailbox those are in a panel box on the outside of the Mail Center and you can access the mailboxes  24/7.

So I can't keep track of how packages are delivered.

Ive lived here a long time and there are steps and bushes near the front door not seeable from the sidewalk or street. I know my neighbors so I havent had a problem of packages being taken.  But normally we have people coming to the property on Saturday leaving flyers for restaurants and nearby businesses (which they are not suppsed to do there's signs posted on the condo property gate ) And I was suprised that UPS delivered a package on Saturday ---it was after 2 PM after I left to meet friends and that made me a bit nervous because there were also flyers left by door too....I dont want them casing my house looking for packages....
