USPS Informed Delivery

[ Edited ]

My neighbor told us about USPS Informed Delivery. There's an app for that. You sign up and can see all of your mail (minus certain junk offers) and packages that are scanned to your address so you can see what is going to be delivered that day. If you are expecting something you can see if it will be in that days mail. Saves walking down the street in 110 degree weather only to receive junk.

I am signed up for USPS Informed Delivery.  I was signing up to put my mail on hold and saw it.  It is great.  While on vacation, I could see my mail.  I was actually waiting for something to come.  I get an email before 8am daily telling me what's coming.

Do you mean USPS - UPS is not the US Postal Service

I signed up for this about 6 months ago.  It is GREAT!  Every morning I get an email from USPO with photos of the mail that is coming that day.  I liked seeing what was coming when we were on vacation too. Sometimes something comes that wasn't pictured in the email, but for the most part it covers everything....including junk mail!  One time something was pictured (a birthday card) and it didn't come that day.  But it showed up two days later!

I love Informed Delivery but it's not perfect. It will sometimes show an actual scanned piece of mail that's coming that day but it doesn't come until the day after. Sometimes too you'll get a piece of mail that Informed Delivery didn't even tell you was coming.

I haven't been able to access my Informed Delivery dashboard since I changed my address online over a month ago. Online customer service finally got back to me and told me they're mailing me a pin number to use online to access my account. I was told they were having some sort of problem with the website and that could be why I can't access my account.

There is a long thread about this in one of the forums here--don't remember which one.  I signed up a couple of days ago after reading about it here.  I got my first e-mail today.  I also got an e-mail from the USPS today telling me about it and asking me to sign up.
