Somebody mentioned restaurants and menus. Just wondering if customers should bring their own napkins/cups/plates/eating utensils, and a box of latex gloves.

This is contaminated that is contaminated, is there anything anywhere that might not be? And who said all germs are bad for the human body.

If you're telling a co-worker that you are taking a day off, and your usual method of communication is by text, then I wouldn't necessarily expect a reply. If you're telling your boss that you're taking a day off, then a text probably wouldn't be enough! With my co-worker, I'd probably also leave a phone message as a reminder that you'll be taking the day off. Some people, like me, don't check their phones for messages very often.

What I like about my phone, it tells you when it´s delivered and when read.

My friends text a lot, we have a group text...I chime in on occasion.  I'd rather chat on the phone.

Yesterday at a restaurant the waitress wanted me to use my cell phone to scan the QR Code to get the menu.  I declined, I cannot understand what is so difficult about bringing a menu to the table.

I have unlimited texting on my phone but not unlimited data...no way am I using data to look at a menu.

@Mom2Dogs

I know exactly what you are referring to about scanning for menus.  It's about not having to prepare and throw away paper menus or sterilize reuseable menus.

Some restaurants are still using salt and pepper packets.

If only they would give you enought light so that you can see where to scan the menu.  The last time that happens, I read the menu from my nephew´s phone.

@Sage04

Thank you for your positivity, but in this case I'm dealing with someone who is truly clueless, so there will be no response by text!

This person is a 7 hour drive away, so I have contacted her daughter to say I sent the requested info, and will let her take it from there.

I kinda agree, I will always text back even if it was some simple text that didn't require an answer. Like someone saying have a nice day or something simple, I'll at least text back, Thank you!

it was a big Def concerning my job.i was letting the boss know I would be taking off today,but had it covered and would be back to work tues.he is notorious for only texting back his favorites.i try not to be so sensitive,but most of the time,it doesn't work.thank you for your reply mindyd

This is not unique to you.  My husband gets this all the time.  He complains for time to time but the communication is related to work.  That is to say, they tap him on the shoulder for assistance, he complies but they don't respond to it.  They don't let him know if that's all they need or whatever so he's left in limbo.  He just figures they don't answer, then that's it.  It IS kind of lousy but I believe that's just the way it goes.  Don't let it get you down.

@Luvsmyfam   Your first post above is blank.  We don't know what you wanted to say there.

Maybe she was trying to show the blank post to reinforce how it feels to look and there's nothing there?
