Re: Tuesday's Positive Pals and Grateful Gals

[ Edited ]

Boy, have I been there, sleep deprived I mean.  My daughter calls it "Chinese water torture".  Finally had to get a prescription med which eventually put me in the right cycle of sleep and I didn't have to take it forever.  Started with a small dose to begin with until my system got used to it and was able to gradually go up until the dosage was right. I hated to turn to a drug but it turned out to be almost a life saver for an especially difficult time in my life.

About acupuncture: we do that regularly these days in my  family and it certainly does allow you to totally relax and often fall right asleep.  Certainly worth a try.

Bella - I think Darla has tried accupuncture.  I'll ask her tomorrow. Sorry your first one got deleted.  I didn't know you couldn't even say His Name.

That is just awful!

Nice to see you again, Hilo!  Yes, sleep deprived has to be awful!  Never heard it call that.  No one offered her a prescription med for that. Good it worked for you.

Re: Tuesday's Positive Pals and Grateful Gals

turtlelgk - thank you so much for sharing and I'm so sorry you had such a terrible time. She doesn't know if she has post-partum depression. No doctor said that. Also so sorry you lost twins.  That had to be so hard! My sister lost twins too at birth!  Darla had an epidural on Thursday, she's had insomnia before but it was worse.  She found out that the side effect is insomnia.  She hadn't slept since we were there last Thursday.  She slept good last night with a sleeping pill. Thanks for posting.

Mmsfoxxie - that's a gift I don't have either!!!  But a good gift to have, though.

Thanks Ruby, I did let Darla know so many are praying for her and she is so thankful for that.  Darla has lost all her baby weight and then some, she does look great, but is so very, very sore.

Gloria: I'm glad Darla was willing to take a sleeping pill when things got so bad.  It's better to take a pill here and there than to put your body and brain through all the stress sleep deprivation causes; it took me long enough to learn that.myself..  (Everything looked fine here; just don't understand.)
