We always had real trees--would wallk to town to the local Chubby and Tubby store-----I want to let that sink in for a minute, the name is great--- Woman Happy which was a hardware/ all purpose store and buy a tree for $1.00. Most times my dad flocked the thing in  blue, somtimes just left it white----and then my moms thing was green and blue bulbs, lights etc. Now our neighbors up the street had a silver tree with one of those rotating color wheel lights!!! Oh baby!!!!

I much prefer the skinny taller faux trees myself, more realistic looking,---- ha that is funny,  realistic and faux-------don't have alot of room for a big wide tree. Have one from Thomas Picone for about 20 years now with the lights on it already but it is beginning to fall apart---will get a smallish real tree this year and then after the holidays will find my tall skinny tree to use next year.
