Love the start of September and the cooler temps and it means the holidays are coming soon.  My favorite time of the year!

Spring and summer are my favorite times.  I love summer veggie and fruits.  Tomatoes aren't so good unless you can pick them ripe from the vine.

I love the flowers and trees.  I enjoy swimming and boating and traveling.

It's easy to dress, you don't need a ton of layers.   Shoes hurt my feet, sandals are more comfortable.

I miss it when the warm and hot weather is gone.

Fall is nice, but not long enough. I really get no time to wear fall clothing.  It seems we go from summer right into winter and winter is way too long.

I don't like summer.  Too hot.  Too humid.  Especially here in the Southeast.  Sadly, September isn't that different for us.  Most of October too.  I was born in the Northeast  and loved the fall.  I was so happy when AC can be shut off and there was a snip of cool in the air and you needed a light sweater.

The best thing in Sept. especially Sept 1, is our wedding anniversary which is today the Sept. 1 Have been married for 61 years today.  Hope we keep going like my parents who were married for 72 years.  Both of them pass away in their nineties.

It's September 1 but it certainly is not Fall.  Not by a long shot.  It's still summer and will be for a month or longer.  Next week in the Boston area, the forecast is 80s and sunny all next week.  I love Fall weather when it comes in mid October but it's bittersweet because Fall ushers in winter.  That I do not like.  The Farmer's Almanac is predicting an early, very cold, snowy winter for us.

I started my closet switch - the “summer colors were the first to go away and all the white pants stored.

Got out the sweaters and light jackets.

Going to do shoes today - an easy switch.

September doesn't mean cooler temperatures. This coming week in Indiana the temps will be in the 90's.  Too early to put summer clothes away. Summer will be hanging on a bit longer.
