To My Friends on the Widows Thread...

Hello Everyone.. This is me, DannyWife.. I am having problems getting into the blog/forum/topic and wanted to get in touch with each and everyone of you..

I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer (do not know what caused it, but it is spreading).. I woke up with a stomach and 2 weeks received my diagnosis.. I have currently been through 1 round (which lasts 3 days) of Chemo and then 1 round (which lasted only 3 days) of Radiation.. I ended up in the hospital after the treatments almost sicker than I started with!  IF through God's mercy and love the chemicals, prayers and support work, I can hope to gain maybe 1 to 2 more years..If not, I'm looking at a few to 6 months..

I am making my peace with my life and surroundings.. I am scared, nervous even anxious (if that's possible).. I don't want to leave this life yet I'm only in my 50's... So many of us know someone who has Cancer and sometimes it wins, I' just not giving up yet.. Allthough this last 5 day hospital stay gave me an awakening, I was hallucienating, so very sick and my blood pressure couldn't be found..My son has been a rock for me, but he shouldn't see his Mom the way I was.

I want each of you to know how much I valued your kindess, friendship and words of encouragement with my Husband, Danny, passed away. I cherish each of you..

If God sees fit, I will be sending follow ups, not being a "downer", just letting my friends know how things are going on the next journey of my life..

.

Blessings, Lisa

@DannysWife

I am so very sorry to read this news Lisa. I've copied and pasted your post into the Widow's Thread to ensure as many of your online friends see this.

I recognize that you don't know me.  While a widow myself, I don't often post on the Widow's Thread.

May God Bless You,

Bernadette

DannysWife, I appreciate your sharing with us.  You are too young to have this diagnosis, but I am sure hoping that you will win this battle.  It really is a WAR, isn't it.

God bless you.

I am so heartbroken to hear this. I am glad you have your son. I will keep you in my prayers that God will give you strength and peace. I would not give up yet because you do not know what will happen with the treatment. You have always been so kind to people on the widow thread. I think it is good that you are letting us know so we can up the prayer chain. As much as these posters have meant to you, you have also meant a lot to them. When we realize how very fragile life is we really want to be thankful of so many  blessings we took for granted. As we travel our life journeys we hope to become better people.
