Re: The maintenance never ends

@chrystaltree   IMHO maintenance is so much better than not taking care of yourself physically.

Hair, mani/pedi, etc. are by choice or as a treat, but the appts. with docs are a neccessity.

Good for you chrystaltree. Do whatever you want to maintain yourself. I also visit the salon for hair maintenance and brow waxing, visit the spa for a facial, exercise. I do my own nails. I take pride in my appearance. Make my yearly doctor appointments for wellness checks and mammograms. Did this when I was younger, no reason to stop just because I’m older.

Re: The maintenance never ends

I am at that age where I'm healthy but  am still running to docs and hospitals for my 90 year old mom and my husband who has many health issues, including CHF. This past year has been rough, but I am retired thankfully and am happy I can be there with them.

Re: The maintenance never ends

"No need to go to any doctor?"  Sputter, sputter.  I've had friends like that over the years and some of them are six feet under or scattered to the winds.  I currently have one friend dyng of cancer because they stopped their six month post cancer checks and one friend who seems visibly healthy.  I'm not chancing those odds.
