It's finally here! I retired today after after working more than 38 years for the city. I counted that I went through six mayoral administrations and 5 Directors in my office! I came home today, put on some comfy clothes, sat on the couch, and watched Netflix! 🤪 It was pouring rain when I left work, but the sun came out later. Hubby took these pics ... a pretty ending for retirement day. šŸ˜ŠšŸŒž

Congratulations @JFD12! I know people say workers in any area can be easily replaced, but I'm sure you touched many lives, and I'm sure they will MISS you

Congratulations @JFD12 ! I hope you love retirement as much as I do.

I remember the first day I didn't have to get up to get ready for work. I thought to myself, " This is what I worked my whole life for "

I started working when I was 12 and retired when I was 62. It felt so good to be done!

  Enjoy your retirement!šŸŽ‰šŸ˜Š

@NEvans2  Yup! I have been waiting to reach my 80% pension and I made it! I am younger than 62. 😊 I never paid attention to the retirement chart until I reached age 50, then I was pretty down low on the chart with not much longer to go! 🄳
