@Natureluvr I live on a hill in N.VA and boy was it howling yesterday, through the night and today.  I woke up at 1am and couldn't fall back asleep until 3.  The whole house was shaking.   My little dog (Min Pin) did not like the wind.  Her little ear flaps were blowing all over lol.  One plus was it helped to dry out the mud in the yard from the rain on Saturday.

@cheriere Are you close to Paducah?  I got to visit there a couple summers ago.  We did a river cruise from Memphis to Nashville.   What a darling little town.  I bought a beautiful necklace and earring set from a local jeweler there who makes her own.  I have her business card someplace but the name escapes me right now Smiley Happy

I'm in Colorado and just a couple of years ago we had a 'wind event' happen here. There were 50 to 60mph constant winds, which is not unusual, with gusts of 80 to 105mph right here in my neighborhood. My 6-foot wooden privacy fence got blown over but I was lucky nothing else happened. That wind was clocked at over 100mph that came through here that day. TG it spared my large trees but many neighbors lost theirs when the wind just uprooted them.

@LindaSal    No, but Paducah is a lovely town.  I'm in a small town in the southeastern part of the state called Corbin.  It's about an hour south of Lexington.

Youre cruise sounds like a lot of fun.  Most all of my drs and some family are in Nashville, so I get to travel there often.  I feel like it's my second home.

If you're ever in Ky again, there's a lovely small town just north of me called Berea.  It's a wonderful place filled with a thriving art community.  There are several local jewelry makers and crafters who do incredible work.😊💝

Been pretty windy around my area--western WA--in  fact for the last 3 days or so--blew the cover of my Ninja grill across the parking lot!! And --dang it--is blowing away the lovely pink magnolia flower buds before they even open all the way!!

It's very windy here in east central Pa., too. Of course, it's garage pickup day.

@catter70 Your post made me laugh!   That almost always happens here on trash day, we started calling it Windy Wednesday in the neighborhood, LOL!  Hoping it calms down  here before then.  I dislike chasing buckets down the road and across the street.

The wind here has been dangerously strong for the past two days.

A young man was killed when a tree was blown on to his house nearby.

It's even difficult to drive.  The car is blowing all over the roads.

Be safe everyone.

@ciao_bella .. I am also in NJ.  The winds are 20-30 mph wind wind gusts of over 40 mph.  So it is a bit worse where you are.
