Also, just want to let you all know @rnmom may not be around as much and she didnt want you to worry.  She and her family are okay.  She may take a break from posting. She let me know on her decluttering thread.  I think it has to do with the fact that yesterday morning I came to catch up with you all and I didnt find our thread. Not sure why. I hope she sees this and sticks around. We all enjoy and value her friendship.

@aprilskies

As for the thread being gone, I think it was just a glitch yesterday morning.  I keep it 'floated' and when I came into "Among Friends" it wasn't at the top like usual.  That was weird because my other floated threads were there.  I had just updated my iPad and initially thought that was why, but  I did find ours farther down the page and "re-floated" it.  I don't know if somebody deleted it on purpose or by accident but it's back and I don't notice any posts missing.🤔

So, @rnmom:  Please come back!😢

@geezerette,

The thread for me yesterday was gone completely. The only one I found was the Autumn thread.  I looked through my own history to find it because there is only so much patience I have surfing through all the threads.  I am glad it was only a glitch.

I am only assuming that was the reason @rnmom was taking a break.  I know I was taken back when I didnt see it.

@aprilskies

@geezerette

I didn't notice that it had vanished but, when I click on it, it doesn't open to the most recent post for some reason.

Well, you know what they say.  When the bees go, we all go.

@just bee

I think when you go, we all will scatter in the wind.😢❤️

I don't think anything that happens in this place is strange anymore.  So many weird things happen to me on this forum that don't happen anywhere else on other websites for me.  My iPad doesn't even work half the time in here, and when it does, it does weird and wonky things that take me three times longer to correct before I can post.

And my autocorrect is really going wonky recently.  Almost got me in trouble with what it "corrected" itself to the other day.  If I didn't know better, I'd think it was a conspiracy...🤐

Lately, I have been waking up and just feeling extremely cloudy, fuzzy, headachy and just terrible and it wasnt due to the weather. It dawned on me that I have been sleeping watching youtube at night and the iPad is literally right next to my face. At times it has helped me sleep, but I just realized all of that light right next to my eyes and face cant be good and lately the podcasts start to keep me up or wake me up. The last two nights I put the iPad to the side and sure enough, I feel better. Not bright eyed and bushy tailed but clearer.  It has started me thinking about other habits that just dont serve me that I keep doing.  Why is it so hard to keep doing the bad habits instead of the good?

@aprilskies

Blue light messes with our circadian rhythms and disrupts sleep.  We don't have a TV in the bedroom anymore, but I spend half the week sleeping on the couch in a room with a TV and a PC.  And they're on all night while I'm sleeping.

But what messes me up more is sleeping in the bedroom on the days I work nights.  I am a lark on an owl's schedule and sleeping -- or trying to sleep -- when it's light outside is always difficult.

It's normal to sleep in a dark room.  Do we do anything normal anymore?

@just bee

I have a lot of trouble sleeping for any length of time in a room that isn't dark.

Maybe that's why I like winter so much.  It's dark more then.  That, and everything's dormant so there's no pollen.

I used to be a lark.  Now I'm just a slug.

I've got a doozy of a sinus issue today, but mine is definitely from the weather.  We have gale force winds all day today.  And I've been pruning cedars, which I just noticed yesterday are starting to bud with their lovely pollen spreaders.🤢

@geezerette

As terrible as that sounds, I'm encouraged to see that something is starting to bud.

I'm ready already for winter to end and spring to begin.  If I see signs of life in my yard I'll be spending more time there and less time in clown world.

I'm sorry you're feeling like cr@p. Woman Sad

@just bee

I hate spring most of all the seasons.

All spring means to me anymore is humidity, allergies, and tornadoes.  Oh, and let's not forget the ticks.  Yuck.

Even summer is better.  At least then I can hide in the air conditioning.

Yes, you can tell I still feel like cr@p this morning.

After only five months you would think I could find a pan but oh no, things had been changed...
I am getting used to it again.

Hi!

Sorting the linen closet is on my list for next week. 🤣 All I remember of my mom’s linen closet is that it was stuffed to overflowing with Avon and impossible to find hat you needed.

I’m not ready to tackle the kitchen yet. 🤨 Maybe I’ll brave one of the bedroom closets instead. 🧐

I hope @rnmom is ok. 💕

I hope everyone has a good weekend. Football here again. 🤓

@bikerbabe

Funny you should mention the bedroom closet.  I was just channelsurfing and noticed that there is nothing worth watching.

How can that be, considering how much I pay for cable and how many channels I get?

Then I realized I sound like all the women who stand in their closets, looking at all the clothes that are shoved into one space, with piles on the shelves and floor, and say they have nothing to wear.

It's because they have the wrong clothes.  Similarly, I have the wrong channels.

Someday a company will allow the consumer to choose the channels they pay for.

Nah, that will never happen.

@just bee

I just deleted my response.
