Re: The Bee Hive -- September 2024 Edition

hello all

listening to big band sounds the past 2 days-really noticed the difference between Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller-Glenn was smooth-good dance music-Benny was jive hopping-very bouncing beat/

wound up in ER this morn for my foot-woke to an achy feel to foot-no one was at ER so it was quiet and doc was able to see me asap

they took apart the wrappings we put on the foot-we wrapped the foot a bit to tight-once the gauze rolls were released the pressure was off foot. we did a compliment how we did the wrapping and we did correct to get the wet foot into dry dressings asap. the only thing the ER doc said the betadine is very hard on skin and could cause chaffing-he wiped off the betadine solution and put on something else more gentle on the foot and wrapped up the foot again. he even tried calling the foot doctor never got an answer-ER doc just told me to call foot doc on monday and have someone see me as soon as appt is available. when we got home dh turned on his cell phone there was  a message on his cell about my appt will be on thursday at 945am. don't know if this from the message i left them on friday=i was hot about this cancellation or was this in reference to ER doctor contacting them several times this morn. hope the stitches come out on thursday.so i can get back to walking.

did hang out today, good breeze and low humidity.

ER doctor put me on 4 cefloxion antibotics times a day-dh just went to pick up the pills at pharmacy-

not much else. later guys

Sheesh, what a morning so far.

Junior cat got outside after a baby bunny.  Dog went after a deer that was in the driveway.  Then she proceeds to go after the bunny while the two cats are going nuts in the house.

I'm not sure this cool weather is such a good thing after all.  Oh well, it won't last much longer.

I'm exhausted already.😮‍💨

@geezerette

Sounds like Carla and the cats had a great morning! Woman LOL

@just bee

Oh, they did.😠

But that wasn't the end of it.  I later found that Senior Cat had been impatient once again and left me a present on the rug instead of finishing everything in his box.

So then it was clean up time.  From him and Junior Cat who had injured one of his little pads from his adventure and left blood everywhere.

Fun times.

@geezerette

It's still early.  Maybe everyone's worn out and they'll nap the rest of the day. Woman LOL

@just bee

The dog is, but she's due for her monthly pain injection so I imagine she's feeling the repercussions from her earlier exploits.

The cats have got the birds under surveillance now.  Senior has a wren he's stalking, while Junior is monitoring the bluebirds in the back yard.

It's a big responsibility to keep track of all that's going on around here, which I'm sure they'll use as an excuse to beg for extra food.😼

That's good that you got your foot checked out.  Sounds like it's on its way to healing.

And may I compliment you on your taste in music. Woman LOL

I have to decide if I want to keep with tradition and listen to Glenn Miller during my MRI tomorrow.

I'll see if I'm in the mood...

Re: The Bee Hive -- September 2024 Edition

Speaking of music, I just love the theme from Band of Brothers.

Now a total change of subject here...

One of the things I dislike about giving businesses, including medical ones, my email address and/or cell number is that once they have them they just keep on and on with the messages.

I've been getting emails, text messages, and phone messages for a week now to confirm an appointment, which I did.  How many times am I supposed to confirm it?!?🤨😡

And I haven't received a single one to remind me of my MRI tomorrow.  No message about what I need to do to prepare, what time to check in, where to check in, if there will be a co-pay...

I guess they still have a few hours...

Then may I suggest using my veterinarian?  They won't stop with the notifications and confirmations!  And I don't even need to see the vet, just the tech who told me originally that I don't even need an appointment either!  Sheesh.

I only wish they were as competent with their actual medical expertise.

It's the constant surveys from businesses that drive me crazy.

How did we do???
