@just bee - How nice for you that they are having this this year! Enjoy!

@rnmom

I was so looking forward to getting out of work on time this morning and seeing a balloon-filled sky on my drive home.

But of course that didn't happen.  By the time I got out of there, it was pretty much over.

Good thing I have this week off.  I'm not sure I'd be able to go back there after last night.

@just bee

Aw, sorry to hear you missed the balloons.  I'll bet that's a glorious sight in the morning--especially uplifting after a long night at work, pardon the pun.

Things are still so messed up on so many levels.

Maybe get some sleep and have a nice long ride today.  Just make sure BH feeds you this time!

How's The Fragrant One doing?

@geezerette

We were just outside on the front patio for the ascension.  It always amazes me that, year after  year, I'm the only one out there watching the balloons.  It's why we bought this lot.  The view of the mountains and Balloon Fiesta Park.

But I needed a third mug of tea, so I brought WGD in.  The same ol' dilemma: Watch the TV coverage or take a few steps to the front of the house and watch it "live."

Always tough with the sun in my eyes, but the weather is perfect today.

WGD still smells a bit skunky on his face but so much better than he did last week.

No ride today.  I have to donate some blood so Vitalant stops calling, texting and emailing me.  I scheduled it today because we're getting flu shots at work.  Can't donate after a vaccination.

Unless it's the COVID vaccination.

Awwww!!!  What did I miss???

@just bee

Just a lot of silly solicitation threads.  Which sent everyone into a tizzy.  Mods finally showed up sometime in the afternoon and removed everything.

But people actually got to express themselves for a few hours.  Bit of a free-for-all.

Well at least you can get a cookie, or maybe your favorite cheese popcorn!😋

I thought you were one that didn't take the flu shot.

@geezerette

For years I didn't.  You know, back when people had a choice?

Each year I'd sign a waiver and skip the shot.

Then one year they said: Get the shot or else you'll have to wear a facemask at work.  All through flu season.

Wear a mask at work?  NO WAY!!!

So I started getting the flu shot.

And now everybody's wearing a mask at work.
