Although that new Avatar movie is over three hours.
Maybe people just don't like good three-hour movies.
I think it's more a case of time marching on. The movies I still like to see aren't relevant to most viewers today. (And it goes both ways since I don't care for most movies or actors today.)
I was showing my age when I realized the actors I was recognized and related to in the movie were almost to a man dead and gone.
You aren't missing a whole lot by not having TCM anymore. They now show a lot of what I consider to be contemporary movies. Anything from say, mid-60s and later are modern in my view. The earlier ones are still on, but not as much as they used to be.

I was having some regrets about remembering to say "rabbbit rabbit" the other night. Does it have the opposite result?
I was washing dishes yesterday and broke a wine glass. That's two this year. Of course I've had these glasses for twenty years or more, so I guess that's not a bad record.
But it leaves me with only three Bordeaux glasses. I like these glasses.
I went online to price replacements and dang-near had a stroke.
I may be forced to go all Italian and start drinking my wine out of something like this:

Too bad they don't make the fancy peanut butter and jelly/jam jars like they used to. For years our "company" glasses were cut glass stemmed peanut butter glasses. Heavy duty and surprisingly similar to something Waterford put out. I'm sure somebody in the family still has them.

I bought sets of the obligatory crystal glasses back in the 80s. Along with Christmas dishes and accessory pieces.
Still have them all in their original boxes. I can count on one hand how many times they've been used.
I could just start using the glassware but I really prefer the 9.2-inch tall Bordeaux glasses.

So no drinking wine from a plastic pb jar?

If I'm drinking from a jar, it must be glass.

Yep, I still have all my china and crystal sitting in my china cabinet (with probably 10 years worth of dust). None of the younger relatives wanted it, which is really ok since I'd have to ship it all. I've promised a friend she could have it all and the cabinet when I'm gone. I've been tempted to give it to her now but I figure I might as well hang on to it all since it's not really causing any problems. If I do downsize, it can go then.
I had promised myself a few years ago I'd start using it all, but I never have. Most of my food and drink is heated in the microwave and none of it can go in there.
And I'm still stuck in the mindset that it's for 'good'. Some things (in my world anyway) never change.🤷♀️
