There's been freeze warnings the last two nights and projected for the next two so I've been out covering plants at night and uncovering them in the morning.  I wouldn't mind if they showed a bit of appreciation.

After one of the worst possible nights at work Thursday, I had a surprisingly good one.  On a Friday night, under a full moon.

How is this possible?

Different area of the hospital.

I felt like I could be a little creative and I asked each patient, since it was the start of a new month, if they had anything special they wanted to accomplish in May.

Felt different coming home this morning.  And, after checking out the plants and critters in the yard and downing a glass or two of Cabernet, I turned on Yacht Rock and danced.

And THAT is MY thing for May.

I'm going to dance.

My coworker texted a photo of her yard in the East Mountains (just outside of Albuquerque) this week.

Snow.

Ooooh!  Guess what I saw this morning!

I park on the street when I go to work and, when I was walking to my car, I saw a lot of roadrunner action.

There was one, with something in its mouth, climbing a pine across fron my usual parking spot.

And what was in the tree?

Another roadrunner.  In a nest.

I really wanted to snap a photo, but I didn't want to disturb the family.

I'll check on them next week.
