Re: The Bee Hive -- December 2025 Edition

Happy Happy All!

Are we done with the turkey?  I have some in the freezer....

Also made two trays of lasagna, some of that is in the freezer.

Had 12 here for Thanksgiving dinner and 5 overnighters.

My Dad went to my sister's and we went and picked him up Sunday.  Had another Thanksgiving celebration.  Love going to my sister's.Heart....

I've been on a spending spree.  For myself!  Well actually for the house.  So when the boxes appear, it'll look like stuff for others'.  Woman LOL

ETA:  I am not sure of the apostrophe placement on 'others'.

Someone please correct me.Woman Indifferent

We have some "parts" of the turkey in the freezer for a soup starter.

That's a lot of people!

Ditch the apostrophe.  Unless you want to say "others' stuff."  Then you need the apostrophe.

I don't think anyone here would believe that for a second.

@just bee I made a ton of extra gravy from the turkey pan.  I pulled a lot of tiny bits of meat from the carcass (Gah--that word!) and throw that in the gravy, too.  So no soup from 'the bird'.

I am going to make some lentil soup tomorrow.  It's verrry cold here tonight.  I just went down to the wine cellar (garage) and there's a beautiful moon and starry sky, but it feels like FEBRUARY.

You made me go outside and look.  Clear sky, moon's almost full.  Cold.

I looked at the neighbors' Christmas decorations.  Lots of lights this year.

Re: The Bee Hive -- December 2025 Edition

We haven't done our outside lights yet.  We keep it pretty simple.  We put a long garland along our banister and red lights wrapped around the garland.

The two cypress trees that flank both sides of our stairs are done in solid green.  (As in, we use a LOT of green lights.)

That's it!

I didn't have any Christmas trees up for Thanksgiving because of space limitations.

With Christmas being on a Thursday this year, I'm not sure who is coming for the day or to spend the night.  I'm hoping I have all the grandchildren again, but most likely not....
