I am so sorry Geezerette. I knew she had been not doing well but we are never prepared. I am with my sister right now going through the same thing. She got through the breast cancer ok but the colon cancer has spread. On hospice with a few days to live.

First our husbands, now our sisters! Our grief is never ending.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister.  Better-half's mother got through breast cancer but then she, too, had it come back as colon cancer.  And it metastasized.

Insidious disease.

At a certain point, it seems like grief becomes our lot in life.
