(And why do I keep asking that?  I work in psych.  I know what's wrong with people.)

You must live in the sticky finger capital of the US!

If it's not nailed down...

Remember that they stole my license plate.  Superglued the new one to the car...

@just bee

So now they'll just steal the whole car.

@geezerette

Probably! Woman LOL

It's 36 here.  Expecting a high of 66 today.

Might go walk around the park that used to have a statue.

I swear you can't have anything nice in this city.

It's absolutely gorgeous here today.  A perfect spring day.  Sunny, decent humid, cool, breezy.  You'd never suspect the cr@p we endured last week.

I could stand a month of this weather.  Better yet, 12 months.

Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2025 Edition

Busy day.  Had city here at 8 a.m. to do an inspection.  Glad I woke up a little early and saw the truck out front to let him in.

Had to meet my sister and father at a lawyer's office in Maryland to become Power of Attorney.   Went quickly.  It's pouring here, but I need to visit 2 banks before we leave just to get the process going.

Already have appointments set up this week for two banks closer to home that I can deal with to switch things over.

Tons of legwork to be done, but eventually things will settle down in the next week or two.

Hmmm.  I guess it's some reward for a week of terror.

But it is good to hear it's a beautiful day. Woman LOL

It's worth the extra work to get everything in place now instead of later. Heart

Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2025 Edition

I am in a supremely foul mood today.

Might have something to do with paying a stack of medical bills and my taxes today.

And it's not really the medical bills.  It's the inconsistency.  Usually I pay through the portal.  But there was a server error last week and I assumed the bill didn't get paid.  Yet I received an emailed receipt.

Then, when paying my credit card bill, I noticed I hadn't been charged for that medical expense.

Then another bill... I've been paying online and by phone, yet this one, for some reason, is asking for a check.  A check?

It's the inconvenience and inconsistency that's so irritating.

So now I have four envelopes to mail.  Which requires a trip to the Post Office because it isn't safe to put your outgoing mail in your mailbox in this city.

Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2025 Edition

We met a dog on our walk who looked so much like WGD. Heart

Got my dog fix. Woman Very Happy

And then, when we were leaving the grocery store, we bumped into someone we'd chat with back when we were walking WGD.  She told us she'd lost her 18 year-old dog in February.

Has tried to bring different dogs into her home but has returned both of them.

And she just feels so guilty about her little dog.  That the dog lived a very good life for 18 years just isn't consolation.

Hope she finds what she's looking for.
