Did the vet mention adding an NSAID?

@bikerbabe

He just finished off the OstiMax tablets she prescribed at his last visit.  And he'll be finishing his gabapentin.  She's extending his antibiotics.

No new pain meds today, but we'll need to watch his behavior.  He chased a squirrel yesterday.

He'll have good days and not-so good days.

Of course we all know how this will end.

We should ask her if she wants him on pain meds.  She didn't do the ultrasound today.  And she doesn't want to risk spreading cancer by doing a biopsy.

She's discussing end-of-life care at this point.

@geezerette

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words. Heart

BH is out with WGD right now for a little afternoon stroll.

Of course we'll be watching him like a hawk because we don't want him to be miserable.

Knew we'd get to this point but, with everything else that's going on, it's really discouraging.

We couldn't have asked for a better dog.  He showed up at just the right time and we've been lucky to have him this long.

@viva923

Sorry to hear your DH has to have surgery.  Hopefully they can get to it soon since I imagine he's probably not feeling so well.

And you probably aren't either.  What a pain--yet another infection!  I hope that clears up without trouble with the medication.

Re: The Bee Hive -- April 2024 Edition

@just bee So sorry to hear the news about WGD. Sending you hugs my friend and please hug WGD for me too.

In January we found out my Lexi had a tumor on her spleen. My daughter suggested we take pawprints. They have kits to do this, we used ink that we had on hand. I am so glad we did this before she passed. I cherish her pawprint.

I was just walking the beach and missing her, saw a tiny milkbone in the sand. I know she's with me still.

My heart goes out to you and BH. XO
