I will be a mil !! My son and his fiancé are in the Bahamas about to become a new Mr. and Mrs.I am very happy but also a little sad that I couldn’t be there

I assume that something prevented you from attending. I'd feel a little sad too.

They decided to elope to save money.I think that is a great idea but I would have loved to be there.They are a young couple that wants to use their money for their home and a start in life.Cant say that I don’t understand that with the expense of weddings.We will have a family celebration when they return.

My daughter did the same thing when she got married (they went to the Napa Valley area).  I had the exact same feelings - happy but a bit sad.  When they returned they also did a family gathering at a nice restaurant to celebrate the wedding.
