Re: THANK YOU ALL

[ Edited ]

That is good news.

Not sure if the guy who plows gets paid per storm or if it's for the whole season---and now he's been paid up?---hopefully.

I would try to be proactive in case this happens again as winter is being a real beast in some parts of the country.

So bad weather should be expected.  Be prepared ahead of time.

Can you park somewhere else, in case this hill is too treacherous to drive down?  I'd wear snow boots and bundle up and take my time getting down the hill on foot-- off the sides of the roadway/driveway.

No idea how much a taxi would cost or Uber or how far you have to go, but maybe set some money aside each week or month to go towards it should you truly need it.

Lots of grocery stores give points when you purchase gift cards, sometimes it's cents/dollars off a gallon of gas/ price.  See if you'll get gas rewards for buying an Uber card.

Not sure how close you are to bus service, but if you don't like driving in the snow and Uber/taxi is too pricey, can you walk (snow boots and bundled up) to a bus stop?

Again, it's winter.  Expect winter weather.  If a state of emergency hasn't been declared, employers want their employees to be at work and on time.  You just have to leave much earlier than normal.

Good luck and good planning and you'll be fine!Woman Happy

@Lucky Charm It is sounding very dicey at this point for snow removal here.Come to find out, landlord

pays once a month. Plow driver wants it sooner.I can't control any of this.Makes me very nervous because winter has just begun. As far as getting a taxi, they wouldn't be able to get up my hill. This is why I constantly look for other places to live
