@World Traveler It sounds to me like you are very organized already. I would probably just go and buy a fire proof box for all the the important things you already have filed. I think they come with at least two keys so you can give one to someone else that might need them.

I was just looking at it. DH does not want to deal with it today. LOL!!! Today's his moms 89th birthday so going over there. He's off tomorrow so hopefully we can take a look.

It looks like it will have what we are looking for. It does have in there what it shows on HSN site. I don't see any reason to pay more money for the kit with the gold box unless you just want that box. I'm going to make copies of all our stuff when we get finished to put in safety deposit box at the bank plus send my sister copies. I think I may keep the originals in my safety deposit box at the bank & keep copies at home not sure on that yet.

It seems a little overwhelming but it will just take some time to get it all done.

We need part of it for my brother. He had a stroke & they never did find the bleed so it can happen again any time. He had to have a shunt put in to drain all the fluid on his brain. After almost 2 months he finally got to go back home after the doctors told us he would not get better. We need to find out what he wants done with his health care, funeral etc if/when this happens again. We need to know his wishes & have it all in order. He has dyslexia so won't be able to do this himself.

@pigletsmom Yes, I am very organized. However, I have heard it said (and in my case, I believe it!) that people who are organized like to buy organized stuff! Know what I mean? ha! So, because her item is something on organization, I like it.

I am going to compare the gold box item with what @Nightowlz got, since she mentioned that it had some extra stuff. Not sure if the "extra" stuff is what I need to have, but want to check it out more thoroughly.

I think you are correct though.....need to get a fireproof box for things I already have. Just want to ensure I haven't missed anything I should have taken care of for possible future use, and that is why I am interested in Orman's products.

The only difference I can see is the one I bought comes with Suze's Power Program which lists what that consists of on the product page on HSN plus it does not have the gold box.

The other one has the gold box with acordion file system plus Personal Finance Online Course, valued at $54 which did not come with mine.
