Hi @monicakm ![]()
I so, so super appreciate, enjoy & admire your adventuresome, technical spirit!! I lost most of mine, if I did indeed have/had anything even remotely on a par! I doubt I even ever did, but I so do appreciate it in you!! and enjoy cont'd reading abt yr adventures!
)
eons, & eons, & eons, EONS ago, (& at the exclusion of other job offered choices), I once selected a particular job 'cause it had some wonderful technological machines, bells & whistles. Y'see, the boss loved'em!! He even selected his newfangled car based on this advanced techie criteria even! (BTW, that car turned out to be an auto mechanical engineering nightmare lemon!! that plagued him forever!) heh
At that time, was the Advent of (new) "Microwave" machines, I bought the one that came with, and/or allowed for the creation of frequent cooking/baking recipes, (up to a series of 5 consecutive cooking stages), that were saved on Mag Strip plastic, credit cards, which were run thru the Microwave machine
Frequent phone calls saved to Mag Strip Plastic CC's & called at the press of the CC
Dictated notes, typed out themselves, at the push of a machine's button, etc
You get the idea. Was an interesting, exploring very young era in my life.

I know youll disagree, but you've got a vehicle with too many bells and whistles. Cars can be safe and dependable without competing with a capable driver.

The last few cars we have had are filled with such features, and the Grand Cherokee has a ton-we turned them off.

The ONLY things I look at are the gas gauge and speedometer...

surely you are being humorous monika ... just sayin and no offense intended but i sure wouldnt want to get in a battle of wits with a 6000lb adversary. i mean what if he slammed the brakes and you got rear ended?

It's my thing. My hobby. It's what I do. Just like some garden or play tennis or do needle point. I enjoy technology.
You get the idea.
I don't. That went right over my head lol, but it's fine.

By far, most of the car's features are related to safety and convenience. In yesterday's case, it wasn't getting a clear view of my eyes (which it wants on the road at all times).
It's fine that we disagree. Aren't we lucky that technology continues to move forward? I could have been driving a horse and carriage to the next town for a gel manicure.
