This is our second 'argument'. Again, it's the eyes. He kept telling me to watch the road. I was watching the road and I did not have on sunglasses. Then it told me to take control, to get it off of cruise. When I didn't do it he got really mad and started pumping the brakes. After three failed attempts I finally moved my bangs away from my eyes leaned forward and open my eyes wide. I don't think he likes me. I love technology😉

@monicakm That may be why I still drive my low mileage 16 year old car - no unnecessary bells and whistles to mess with. Or mess me up while I am driving. Often, when I take this old car in for the required annual state inspection, the inspector says something about the high quality of the brand and model year. I am keeping it as all of the technology on the news cars (gulp) scares my low-tech self.

@Q-Checker  me too!  We have a 2016 Land Rover HR.  It seems pretty luxe, but outside of raising the carriage up and down (like a low rider), lol, and the standard electronics,  it's easy and self explanatory!  .  Wait, It does have a few things we have never bothered with. I think we might use them when riding  the moors in Scotland, lol lol,   Our other car, a Fiat, is simple, then ...our "burb"  is like new!   It's a 1999, never part with that,  12-14 MPG. lol.it passes smog ever 2 years with flying colors.  But it looks like the day we bought it and the most comfy seats ever.

We have a 2019 Nissan Rogue..very low milage..We don't know  half the stuff that's in it and I don't want to know too confusing..

DH bought me My first car was a new 1971 Ford Maverick as a wedding present...I cried when my mechanic told me DON'T BRING IT BACK(after 20 yrs.)! Have had 2 other car since..If I could find my old non-tech car..I'd love it!..LOL

I'm still driving my 1999 Toyota Camry. Mechaniics say it was a well-built car. I don't want to give it up.

@monicakm   arguing with Lincoln is one thing. We all know or have  back seat drivers in our life. lol. But, if Lincoln starts selecting the restaurants he wants, well....it will be time to de-program him asap!    lol lol

  @chessylady

I drive a 2011 Toyota Corolla with 43,000 miles on it.  I have NEVER had a problem with that car.  I bring it in for semi-annual service as here in AZ the summers are brutal so I always want to make sure the battery is in perfect shape.

I will NEVER give up that car because the tech at the dealer where I bring it says it's "good as new."  That's because I spend approximately $1,000/yr on different things that need replacement, like fluids and other things.

I just got new tires at Costco for $700 so the car's good to go.  At Costco, they test the air in the tires monthly and rotate them when I need it.  All at no charge.
