Sad that it's no longer fair competition (for a variety of reasons) - absolutely!

No, I'm not sad at all. It was a beautiful day here in the low 80s with no humidity...a gorgeous sunny day!

My family came over and we took the baby to the big community pool then came back to the house for a cook out.

The only thing that made me sad is how quickly the day goes by when you're having a great time!

As for the Olympics, it happens every four years and each time I have my favorites and other events that just don't interest me.

@bmorechick I will. Sometime when I driving I will see a stand and hop off the road to investigate. I adore local, homegrown produce! It a great part of my quest to eat better and exercise more. I tell my friends, if I never get a flat tummy, I tried!

I'm not sure why, but I haven't watched it at all.

@Luvsmyfam Since I look forward to them every time, I do get a little melancholy. What really makes me sad is when I think it will be another 4 years for the next summer Olympics. I will be 4 years OLDER. My grandkids will then be 12, 9 and 6. That seems so much older than they are now.

I'm already looking forward to the winter Olympics.
