Re: Snow Is Falling In The Northeast

SW PA here. It started snowing around noon and I looks like we have about 3 inches. Snow stopped for now. My husband and I are watching the Steelers-Ravens game in Baltimore and the weather there looks horrendous!

I'm in Bucks Co and yes it's been snowing since around noon.  According to accuweather it wasn't supposed to start until 4pm.

Anyway I had plans to get together with my brother and we went to Doylestown for pizza then back to his house for coffee & dessert & for him to open his Christmas gifts since he had Covid over the holiday.

We had a nice time and I just got home half an hour ago.....it's still coming down and I wonder if it will turn to rain later.

It looks pretty right now but I hope the accumulation is not much more than what we have.

@haddon9   I could have joined you!  I live in Doylestown.

@threecees

Looks a little like my dating expectations!! ( the snowmen!!)  HIlarious!!!!

NW PA corner of the state...snowed steady since 1030am, map still looks like there's a lot of heavy snow, but it's dropped way off and they ended the advisory at Sun 1am from earlier in the mid Sunday range...looks like it's gonna end soon

About 2-3 inches it looks like.

I LIKE it...tomorrow I too will shovel part of the long driveway for my daily execrcise and Vitamin D exposure....gonna be in the 30s which is not even that cold for winter in NW PA!!!

Enjoy it if you got it!!!

Re: Snow Is Falling In The Northeast

I have family that lives in Kingston, NY, which according to the Today Show yesterday, was going to be the center of the snow wallop.

I texted them and the response was "well, yeah - Al Roker lives here". The funny thing is that they've run into and chatted with Al numerous times at the farmers market, but had no idea who he is as they don't have cable and therefore don't watch broadcast TV.

They're happily awaiting the snow in hopes that it gives them the chance to try out the snow shoes they bought themselves for Christmas. The biggest concern is their little dog. He's only about 11 pounds and about 8 inches high. He LOVES to play in the snow and will leap in to snow banks, only to completely disappear. They have to leave the leash on him, even in their fenced in yard, so they can haul him out! He loves it.

@haddon9  I've been there, it is very good.  Jules pizza in Doylestown is also good.  You are not far from me.

@Biftu Love Jules pizza!  There is one right in Newtown & they own Lovebird too...also in Doylestown & Newtown.  Love getting a chicken salad or sandwich take out from them.

Have you tried Terrain in Doylestown?  It's only been open for a few months.  It's beautiful and unique!  I've been there a few times now and have been to their locations in the Main Line area.  It's so nice that they located to Bucks!

@Desertdi.  If you don't own one, go buy yourself an electric blanket and wrap up in it.  I guarantee you'll be warm and toasty.  Even an electric throw would help.  You'll wonder how you ever survived without it since you're so often cold.

Now go!!!

@Kachina624       OK.....but what I really NEED are electric SHOES!

I am wearing two pair of socks in my fur-lined mocs, for pete's sake!    (and that's INSIDE the house...so much for heat pumps...I've also got a space heater running!)

@Desertdi

If you need another space heater these Duraflames are great especially the bigger one it's a beast and heats up a large area.
