#1 I agree with @RedTop that you are most likely receiving the treatment other specialists are using for your particular condition.

#2 A phone call from staff is not the same as talking to a doctor in person.  When you do see doctor, ask what type of hepatitis you are being treated for.    Ask  if your treatment plan is the gold standard for your condition.

#3  Get your questions ready and if you are not satisfied at that time, go elsewhere.

#4  You may be in the acute phase and may recover.  There are several types of hepatitis.

I'm hoping you recover and will pray for you.  I hope to hear good news as time goes by.

I think if a 2nd opinion would make you feel better you should seek it @FuzzyFace.

Sorry your not doing well. (((((((((((Hugs)))))))))

I agree about a second opinion, but you might also want to consider a naturopath or alternative medicine option as well.  There may be things you can do that will help you feel better and work in combination with your traditional medications.

As another poster suggested, The Mayo Clinic website is excellent for reliable information about many conditions.

Years and years and years ago, one of our friends went to a nearby medical facility (I believe it was a hospital, but I'm not completely sure) and asked at various desks/stations, asking nurses which specialist(s) in a certain field that they would choose for themselves.  The results of her second opinion were beyond excellent.  The new specialist found flaws in her list of meds, etc.

I'd get a second opinion, no matter how.  But I wouldn't ask the specialist who is presently treating you.  Just go to another one, and bring all of your meds, vitamins, herbs (if any) with you.

The best of luck to you.  Heart

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
