all heck happened here this morning.the dryer exhaust vent hose broke in half this morning.it was a mess. found a company that jerry and i worked with before at our house-they came out within a hour and got the dryer repair hose fixed then the young man cleaned out the exhaust from outside into the dryer. that hadn't been done in 20 years or more. that was done.the amount of lint out of the long vent was huge pile of lint outside on the back lawn.

went to lowes and bought 3 smoke/carbon monoxide detectors for the house the kids did not have any. ok guys later

I did some laundry.  Order some chicken enchilladas for lunch and had the neighbor drop by for one.

I am viewing the goings on over in Utah.

Has anyone ever had chocolate from Africa?  Neighbor is going to Kenya and wants to bring me some.  I don't know what strength or kind to get.

Sad day for the country in many ways...so I tried to stay busy. I had lunch with a group of ladies from my Sunday School class, but raked my back yard before I got cleaned up, there sure is a lot of dead grass in the yard.

When I got home I worked in my neighbors yard helping her clean up a flower bed....BIG MESS but she appreciates the help and I have time to help her.  She was not home as she works a full time job and has no desire to work in the yard after a 10 hour day...I hope to be done in a couple of weeks, some rain sure would help with the digging process.

Back to work tomorrow.....

Has been a rough day, even aside from Sept 11th's vivid memories that still abound on this uber, uber tragic anniversary.

On the phone most of this day, working thru problem/s that arent resolved but simply seem to reveal even more problems, waiting for tomorrow.

Just visited by two young sales men for a Home Security Systems who report that there's been a recent violent incident here.  Really disappointed, if true - Heck, for many reasons, I was so impressed with it here from the get-go.  (Id not even realized it but this entire Complex is indeed No Smoking even!

Mgt just reminded Residents yesterday, we're slipping. Zero tolerance, with enforced stiff penalties, for any/all litter, whatsoever, down to the pet accident to the cig butt.  And I trust that they mean it.  Wonderful, large fenced in Dog/Pet Park inside here that they heavily police for any nonsense, droppings even.

I continue to hope & pray that a good thing/s arent ruined.

I picked up a few groceries curbside earlier. The humidity was miserable as I stepped out to the car. Walking is not going great right now so I'm just taking it easy today.

Sending good thoughts out to all

Be well.🙏💐

Thanks to all you post about your day, it's always good to read, and me? Well, just another ordinary day for me, But - ordinary days are wonderful!!

Weather here in MN is getting much cooler.

Our tomatoes in our patio are getting ripe and delicious!! Oldest daughter had her 3rd infusion chemo yesterday, she is cancer free now but this is to keep the cancer away as it was an aggressive breast cancer.  My niece died from it years ago.

She's on her ninth month journey of these extra chemo infusions. Every 3 weeks.

Re: Sharing Our Day

[ Edited ]

After 3+ FULL days of HOURS+ wading thru a lot of bureaucracy - updating, correcting, contacts, calls, deadends, docs, emails trying to make changes to what feels like major life's messy dealings, and feeling like little to show for all that time & effort.  Now even these problems/issues still exist!  Seemed like meager ROI.  Woman Frustrated   pic--just-pulling-my-hair-out.jpg

This above reminded me of the old days, when on a Co-Ed Softball team, no one wanted to forfeit for the rainy game, so we played thru the pouring rain!  Running in mud, & on wet grass was, well, very not fun!  and dangerous Woman Frustrated

Finally last night, 2 new young friends and I were able to finally get together & treat ourselves to a dinner at a new place of their choice. WOW!  A Deli, $60!! Woman Surprised  One gal, who Im guessing cant afford it, insisted she pay. I planned to pay for all, but I graciously accepted & as was with this time, will gladly be returning this gesture.  Next month.  As suspected, this was such great company - we have so much in common.  Looking forward to learning even more.

They dropped me off, & went about their heavy duty, uber excited shopping.  Woman LOL Was soo nice to get out among the lovely, dynamic living!  heh

Got home.  WOW!  My continuing to surprise me, VERY happy here now, (just +1 more rescue) beloved Sweetie, (of many yrs now) was wanting "belly petting," string playing & cuddling. Cat Very Happy And of course, I was elated to oblige her.  Woman Wink Woman Very Happy
