*** Shabbat Shalom *** March 10

Hello to all who read and post! Wishing you a Shabbat Shalom and a wonderful weekend. We had 9.5" of snow last night 😒. Wet and heavy but I must admit it is very pretty. I am done with it but not DH. He loves his snowblower & is out helping the neighbors up & down the street. Hope those of you dealing with nasty weather will stay safe.

Hello everyone.  @MOMMAVik  we got between 7-8".   VERY HEAVY.  My husband just snowblowed, I helped shovel the front walk,  and I went around my house knocking off the heavy snow from bushes and trees so the branches wouldn't crack.

Have a wonderful day and weekend.  Be happy, healthy and safe...   the trifecta!

xoxo

Shabbat Shalom and happy weekend to all who stop by on this thread for a friendly chat!

Wow, MOMMAVik!  That's quite a bit of snow you received in your neck of the woods.  We have yet to have any significant accumulation in Northern Virginia.  Still, I won't put the snow shovels back in the shed until the last week of this month.  You just never know...

Your hubby is a dear!  We had two neighbors who always helped us out us out with their youthful vigor and snow blowers when there was a heavy snow.  One family (I really liked them) retired young to South Carolina last summer, and they will be missed for many reasons.

The other kind helper is now divorced (he stayed in the family home) and always responds with this when I thank him for his help:  "That's the way I was raised -- to help others."

Good Shabbos and Happy Weekend to all.

@MOMMAVik   thank you for this week's friendly thread. Smiley Happy

We got about 2 inches of snow.  No complaining from me! I hope the rest of you are safe from more snow.

Although it's still wintery weather here, it's been so unseasonably warm for so long here, the spring greens are already starting to show.   Now, in the middle of March, it decides to be wintery?  Crazy!

I hope the week ahead is as stressless as possible for everyone.

Today is Eat Your Noodles Day!

Mangia!  No matter the kind of noodles you are eating today, enjoy them! Smiley Happy

Copied and pasted.

  1. Dry noodles are considered a form of unleavened bread
  2. In China archaeologists discovered the world’s oldest bowl of noodles, thought to be over 4000 years old. They were made of millet flour.
  3. “Instant” noodles were invented in 1958. They are flash fried then quickly dried. This made for a long shelf life.(If they are kept dry, some say they will remain edible for decades)
  4. Over 40% of the flour in Asia is used to make noodles.  Feeding over half of the world’s population.
  5. Thomas Jefferson brought the first “macaroni” noodles to America in 1789 after returning from a trip to France.
