I guess September saw some things accomplished. I got my flu shot and the last pneumonia shot I needed, I also did my monthly trip to the city over an hour away to pick up my Walmart grocery and to get my nails done. The low prices there compared to our one and only supermarket justifies the trip.

I had my heating system checked just in time to switch on the heat as I don't tolerate low 40s very well. It is cooler than normal for the time of the year. At least, it is sunny  today!

It was chilly (40) yesterday morning when I awoke.  Right now it's 10:25 am eastern daylight savings time and it's 45 degrees out there.

The walnuts are falling off of the tree in the backyard faster than I can gather them.  Of course, the squirrels are having a great time.  I even saw Chip the chipmunk try to gnaw on one - it was funny.  

@KonaKat  You've gotten alot done this month.  You mentioned that you put a blanket in your car in preparation for winter.  That reminds me that I should toss the blanket I have in the trunk of my car in the washer to freshen it up.

hey all

it is mighty chilly here too guys, woke up to 49 this morn, chilly wind out of the N by NE. clear sky,bright blue,very sunny. watched a large plane decending towards Philly airport. love seeing planes take out and land over us, we are not far from Philly airport about 40-50 miles or so (guessing on milage here).

did chores,got dh off to work at 5am, got walk in, clothes ready for folding.

not much else. later guys

I binge-watched Ratcheted on Netflix. Excellent backstory to what made Ratchet the kind of person she  was in One Flew Over the Cuckcoo's Nest.

well,fall has come to Virginia also. It's nice during the day but quite chilly at night. The last two days I spent washing quilts and getting the comforter's on the beds. We also had our "senior " flu shots this past week. Nothing else going on,we did go to our D D and SIL for my birthday dinner,which was delicious. She stir fried chicken,spinach,bow tie pasta in a nice sauce,delicious. I talk,or should say listen to my husbands SIL a lot. Her hubby has dementia,early stage. She just needs someone to talk to. Don't live nearby so the least I can do is listen. Hope it helps. Everybody stay safe 😷. Last night we stayed up and watched CNN. The movie about Justice Ginsburg, it was a very good movie,well done. She was quite a Woman!

@Epicurean  The series is excellent, around ten episodes but it is very graphic. ,

I decluttered some and  looked for an item but couldn't find it in its usual place. I had decided to reorganize things and it found a new location last month. In the process of watching a Prime movie, it came to me where I might find it. Sometimes, reorganizing is a pain.

The temp finally got above 60 degrees and I just came inside after mowing the front yard.

I suppose the mower would start under 60 degrees..... I just wasn't going out there, lol.

I'm taking a break before I do the backyard.  The mowing isn't the problem back there.  I have a self propelled lawnmower.  It's the walnut tree...there are so many nuts on the ground since the last time I collected 3 buckets full.  This is the only time of year that I harbor genuine resentment for that tree (hahahaha)
