super bad news out of my daughter's camp today. deeply saddened by this big fat mess

it really felt cold this morning.  It seems like it takes me longer to adjust than it used to. I went to the doctors  office yesterday for a physical.  While there i got my flu shot— the one they recommend for older people.  I had my first shingle shot a few years ago so I thought I’d get he second one they recommend. The nurse said you don’t want to get it here.  She said the amount insurance will allow is ridiculous and it is quite expensive. She suggested using Walgreens or some other pharmacy said medicare does better there.  So I’ll have to think that one over.  I’ll check with pharmacy to see what the thing actually costs. 

They are going to take down my paper birch. I hate to see it go but it’s getting too perilous to leave it stand.  In the meantime my neighbor is putting In New windows and siding and trucks are lined up all around corner. Don’t know when tree guy is coming so will worry about that later.   My own windows are supposed to be here the 21st.  So looks like the corner is going to be busy. My neighbors siding is what I call slate blue with white windows. It’s a nice change from beige, beige.  

Viv, I hope things get better for you. It’s hard to watch our kids go through troubled times.  We think we can fix it but we can’t. I speak with experience. Looking back after a lot of years, it was probably for the best.  I worried about my grandchildren but theyve turned out to be pretty neat kids.

I still dont don’t know if i gave  The window people room to work in the bedroom.   I sure hope I have.   my house looks odd and I continually forget and  hit my head on the chandelier which used to be protected by the table.  You’d think I could remember.  I told my family that anything else they want done they’ll have to wait til Im gone.  I don’t want to spend my last years fixing up house for someone else. Besides I love my orange countertop. Lol

Hey Betty @yock  is the senior flu shot one injection or two?  I get it confused with the shingles shot.  I have never taken either.... it's been a decade since I got a flu shot at all.

Don't load up too many shots until you see how you feel after the first one.  I'm excited for you about new windows.  That's on my hit list of 'big things' to do to the house.

not much here today,

very humid looks like rain any minute but nothing so far all of today.

got both walks in,did wear rain coat but didn't need it.

dh is going back to work tomorrow for 3 days. UGH.

the homemade Mac/cheese was super delicious and sooooo good.

have to laugh LoL, i finally shaved my legs been ages, noticed long leg hair, had to go.

went to police station with neighbor lady, long story short, someone is mailing boxes to people who don't live at her house and then coming over while she is at work and taking them. Don't know what was discussed or outcome, was not asked in to conversation at station.

I laughed when I read about you shaving your legs @viva923   I usually do mine once a quarter and I have to follow it with a Drano chaser after my bath is over, lol.
