@CherryHugs I thought of my mother often on Mother's Day too!
Since the pandemic and social distancing I find I miss my departed loved ones even more. (And my family I haven't seen much of lately).
Maybe it's because I didn't fully appreciate the family because they were always there. Time didn't seem to be a problem.
Now I try to appreciate and enjoy each day and not to dwell on the past as much. The memories will always be there but I try to make new ones now.

Hi Everyone from very chilly MIssouri. It got down to 36 degrees near here, and was 38 here at home and guess who's furnace isn't kicking on. It's about 59 to 60 degrees in the living room where the thermostat is. I went down to the basement and pushed the reset button on the furnace and nothing, not even an attempt to start. That worries me as it might not be getting electricity ??? I called the repair place and they'll come out but I'm not sure what to do as it's supposed to warm up a bit day by day here $$ is part of the reason and then again having it serviced in the fall is another reason I am holding back. I am afraid of electricity and fooling around with the circut breakers as none of them are marked. My brother never tagged each breaker so I don't know what is what and am afaid to fool around with them not knowing what I am cutting power off to.
My best friend went home to Heaven Saturday afternoon. She had a massive brain bleed, stroke or anuerysm on Thursday. Her son called me to let me know. They live about an hour and a half or two hours from me. On Saturday they moved her back to her home with Hospice helping and she was there for about 2 hours before she passed. Many of my friends are now gone, so this was a shock even though Cherie was 3 months younger than me.
I hope y'all had a really nice Mother's Day weekend. Ours was quite rainy off and on, damp and chilly. Did go to a nursery on Saturday with my daughter and granddaughter. I got some Cosmos, another Cone flower, and a Pincushion, aka, Scabiosa plant Still want to replace the Elderberry and Butterfy bushes my brother got rid of. Don't know why he did that, but I also want to get a Spirea plant too. I got all of the yard cut on Thursday and finished it on Friday then cut the neighbor's back yard. It was over a foot tall in some areas. He tries to cut it with a push mower at bit at a time and has health issues. My tractor took care of that tall grass in no time.
I have to go back and read posts. Have a nice rest of your afternoon and be safe and warm. Brrrrr. 🙂😻
