Depends on the dress style and the sneaker style. When I worked in a corporate setting, it was common to see women in sneakers and dresses walking to work, but then they'd change into different shoes at work.
Also used to be a "look" with a long dress and flat sneaker type like Keds. I used to wear that combo as I hated wearing pantyhose, and that was required back in the day in the corporate world

Yes.

It has to be the right pairing.

I think it's ok if you're 8 years old.

It's a "No" for me personally and I prefer ballet flats with some support while wearing dresses.  I buy the more supportive flats like Vionic, Pikolinos and Taryn Rose.  I usually carry a pair of sneakers in the car with me If I'll be shopping for a longer time to switch into to give my feet a  change of support.  I have had surgical repair  of hallux rigidus on my right foot and have a tailor's bunion on my left so my feet fatigue rather quickly.

Dresses with sneakers - for me it's a no I feel like a frumpy bag lady.

@Bonkers1  - I think that some dresses look great with sneakers.   I think others don''t.  It really depends one the dress.  This look below does not look good with sneakers.

@Bonkers1  Most of the time, I like it on others but it's not for me.  I don't wear dresses and I don't have the figure to be too trendy or edgy.

I have to wear sneakers!  I have no choice.  I don't want to but that's because of health issues.  I rarely wear a dress but when I have, it's a very casual and long dress.  I have seen young women wearing them with cute, short dresses and they look very nice.

if it's the right dress, right sneakers ( I prefer converse) it is a cute, comfy look. I love dresses, and have many.  I love them with flats, converse, boots,  and Birkies.  Depends on weather and style, and also whose wearing it. Lol

If I was young, absolutely. A skort or short dress with sneakers is super cute.

@Bonkers1 - For me personally - no. I'm not really fond of any closed in shoes, but because of the weather here I have to wear them sometimes.

At one time the only "sneakers" I owned were for working out. I think I might own a few pairs now. I would never wear them with a dress or dress pants.  Smiley Happy
