@LTT1   There's a lot of shootings/robberies in the three cities around us called the Triangle Area in NC. They're all withinn 5 minutes of eachother and the crimes are in the news everyday...There have been shoortings, smash and grabs in all the malls, Targets, Dollar Stores, drugstores especially over the last 2 yrs.

I am not aware of that happening where I live...of course I do not venture far away from my home.

So are the news outlets just not reporting crime?

One day I was walking at my nearby mall... it was a weekday and not crowded. A very tall (shady-acting) fellow was walking along practically "tailing" me! His eyes were shifty thereby SCREAMING THAT HE WAS DOING SOMETHING WRONG.

There is one store at our mall that seems to always be busy with teen/young adults and it has run through my mind that drug exchanges must be going on there.

I cannot remember what a store such as this would be called... "a head store"?

So the shady-looking guy ducked into that store (apparently) then reappeared a bit later. I believe a drug sale was happening there.

@LTT1   For example, a huge mall in San Francisco had such a crime issue, that Nordtrom went out first and lg. other stores followed. I read they had a large homeless population on the streets in front and around that area. Shoppers stopped coming to that mall.

Stores are doing well and so are restaurants in my area.

Some other states are letting crime run wild and it doesn't have to be like that.

There's a plan for disorder and it's not good.

Macy's CEO reports excellent foot traffic in the Herald Square store on Friday, with sales in line with projections.

Local news showed a long line of orderly shoppers entering at 6 am (no more door-busting as seen in the past.)

Yes, the holiday shopping is in full swing and doing great. Talking to my daughter, near her in Wrentham Ma., there was a 3 hour traffic back up heading into the outlets. Lines of people waiting to get into stores for early openings at the mall. Happy to see businesses doing so well.
