*****SHABBAT SHALOM November 8TH*****

[ Edited ]

Shabbat Shalom and welcome here each Friday for an inclusive thread.

Wow, what a week! I certainly need some time to pray, process and hope for our future. I believe sometimes these events come in threes: the elections and I had to have several biopsies yesterday during my body check which are bandaged and will hear results in a week. There was an attack on the Israeli Soccer Team/fans yesterday in Amsterdam....and so the chaos of antisemitism continues here and abroad.

We have a busy weekend beginning tomorrow with a craft fair, music and food trucks at our ArtCenter to benefit the Helene victims in NC and states nearby. My gallery is participating and all my paintings are on sale...What a rush to get them finished, matted and framed in time for the show/street fair! A large portion of sales are donated.

Also tomorrow and Sunday is a yearly local art guild tour with many studios open and the thrill to converse with the artists and see their work....paintings, sculptures, jewelry (oh, no!), pottery, etc. The map shows a huge area covered with locations of the artistic community. I usually participate, but my studio is packed up and moved down to our huge dining room table and stacked wire drawers for supplies.

The weekend weather will be gorgeous in the 60's and perfect for being outside and enjoying what I love. My GDs arrive at 8AM tomorrow to enjoy the weekend with us and attend the events. My younger one who is 12 is quite the artist and so excited to see the studios.

I wish everyone a restful and peaceful weekend.

@Shanus @Wishing you luck on the biopsies. Sounds like you have a wonderful family. Nice of your gallery to donate part of the proceeds. You are not alone. Bless us all!

@Goldengate8361   I'm so used to biopsies with my fair skin over the decades, but thanks for the good luck. Thanks God not on my face, but a few on my upper arms and one on my thigh. The bandages are annoying, but can be removed tomorrow.

Shabbat Shalom all. A very disturbing week. Still looking for the peace.
I am in the midst of moving and settling my 87yr old Mom ( who is quite helpless) into assisted living after clearing her house of 60 yrs- which has all been kind of a nightmare. But thankfully,, it's a good distraction. Ihave a twin sister who claims she can't do anything for anyone- no time.  Hate her, selfish jerk. It's all me, yay.

Urgently praying for the Jews in Amsterdam, who are being hunted down and beaten, as we speak.  This was not supposed to happen again in Europe. Dutch authorities must restore peace.

@Skyegirl21   Been there done that with my folks many years ago and I swear they never tossed anything in their house. I don't have any siblings, so my DS, DIL and GDs helped out. They were anxious to move out, but in their 80's and no help w/ the decision making about what to keep and what goes. None of us needed more furniture or duplicate photos.

I hope you have an easier time and a peaceful weekend.

@Oznell   Yes and hoping this isn't the continuation of the chaos to follow in our country and others.

@Shanus

Yesterday after my early AM mammogram, I was having coffee at Panera's and as I was 3/4 through a lengthy email response to your post, I got an error message.  My post was gone as was 10 pages of posts responding to yours.   My guess: too political posts.

Regardless, the essence of my post was recognize that you ( as so many others are ) are going through grieving and mourning.  The dream / goal is shattered...for a while.  The ultimate divine plan will reveal itself in His time.

Peace, love and hope.
