SHABBAT SHALOM on this Friday of a holiday weekend. All are welcome to join us on every Friday to share plans, hopes, family "doings", friendship, etc.
Hot is not a strong enough word for the weather we've had and no different yesterday for our cookout. We moved the "party" from the patio to our screened porch that runs the length of the back of the house and has several ceiling fans!!! Then we all gathered around the TV to watch fireworks...first Macy's and then the ones from DC. Definitely spectacular!!!
The Rabbi is on a much deserved vacay and I may take a night off from services myself tonite. I'll light my candles, pray at home. G-d is all around us.

Shabbat Shalom and a Happy Holiday Weekend! We have a family reunion picnic on Sunday. Each summer we gather and quite a crowd of all ages come from all around. Enjoy your weekend; hopefully the weather cooperates and cools off!

Cold enough for you? 
It's in the mid 80s now, with a touch of humidity. Not too bad today. Tomorrow and Sunday the same thing. Monday will be HOT. I'll share my cooler weather with whomever needs it.

This week was busy for us. We tackled lots of chores that we'd been putting off.....the dump, power washing and others.
Feels good to cross those off the never ending chore list.

My daylilies and hostas are blooming so well. The hydrangea is out of control with blooms! I'm so happy to see it thriving and blooming, since we only put that in last year.
