Shabbat Shalom and Happy Friday to everyone. Let's hope this thread stays up for awhile.

I picked up my new glasses late yesterday. I haven't had any since the beginning of December, so any typos now are just stupidity or an accident on my part. 

Old fashioned Shabbat dinner here with family tonite. Roast chicken, noodle kugel (a casserole made with egg noodles, sour cream and cream cheese, lots of butter and chopped apples, dried cranberries and cinnamon). I top it w/ crushed corn flakes before it goes in the oven to bake. I'm also making an easy green veggie and the kids requested banana pudding for dessert with meringue on top. Of course a traditional Challah. So I need to get to the store and then get cooking. 

I have my Charlotte family coming...4 more people. I made them reservations at a nearby hotel since my upstairs bedrooms are already packed up. A folding table and chairs will be set up since my dining room table is now my watercolor site. Both GDs know the prayers for the wine, bread and candles which we light first. I have my Grandmother's candlesticks from Israel.

Your day sounds wonderful @Shanus .  My day isn't that busy, just a few chores to do around the house.

The sun is shining brightly this morning, but will probably go away as the day goes on.  It usually does.

Good morning  I'm just home doing housework today.  Going to start up very soon but wanted to jump on here first.   Farily quiet weekend on tap.  The kids are coming over on Sunday for the afternoon and will watch the first championship game here.  I promised them a game day chili dinner so that's what I'll be doing.  Love getting to spend a bit of time together.   

I hope everyone has a nice peaceful weekend and wishing peace to all who are suffering.

@Shanus   OMG ...  I LOVE KUGEL.   SOOO GOOD.  I know some recipes also have cottage cheese in them.  I actually had a recipe,  which I have not made in years,  for a kugel without dairy in it.  Delicious.   ENJOY your guests and have fun preparing your dishes.  

I hope everyone has a good weekend.  Stay safe and warm.  It's a balmy 2 degrees out now with a MINUS 8 Real Feel temp!  The other day it was MINUS 25 Real Feel. 

I'm WFH today and then making a Pot Sticker Soup later.  I made it recently and it was so good.  I used the QVC Pot Stickers and they were excellent.  They held up well in the soup and were very tasty.  I appreciate their thin wrappers.

Good Shabbos, finally a small break in the frigid temps. We had pot stickers last nite for dinner, love the ones from Trader Joe.
