Shabbat Shalom, Happy Passover and Happy Easter weekend...
Matzo time means Miralax time for me, so I limit my matza brie, etc. Lol
We have a soaking rain today and tomorrow...clearing somewhat on Sunday.
Welcome to all who visit this inclusive thread...friendship, "news" and sympathy awaits.
Praying for good health and relief for anyone without food and shelter...thinking of those areas that had devasting storms and tornadoes.
I'm attending mass with my DIL this weekend. The catheral is beautiful, her family is not here and I always go with her, especially since her Mom passed away.
Have a wonderful spring weekend.

Wishing a sweet Passover, blessed Easter and lovely weekend for all. Shanus, what a wonderful mother-in-law you are. The harmony and acceptance of others in your family is honorable and laudable.
When I was in high school, I made my first Jewish friends. I recall that one evening our clique was invited to join one Jewish friend's family for their seder. As I recall, after the seder we trotted off to the lone Catholic church in town for midnight mass. The timing of holidays worked out that way that particular year. We thought we were so, so sophisticated doing this.
I'm forever indebted to this friend's family (and I bet the other clique members are, too) for introducing me to experiences I would not have had for a while to come. How I remember sleepovers at Suzie's house: Frank Sinatra's albums serenading us to sleep (they were her parents' albums), black coffee and bagels with cream cheese for breakfast (first time ever!). Those were special magic moments (in the words of a pop tune from that era). Note: In the late '50s and early '60s, much of small-town America never had bagels available or a pizza place. Honest. The first pizza place in our town was owned by a Jewish family from New York.

Happy holidays and weekend to all.
Thank you, @Shanus , for this week's thread. You're a wonderful mil to attend mass with your dil. What a lovely tradition to share with her.
For all those who are celebrating Easter, I hope your holiday is a blessed, joyous one.
For those who are enjoying a relaxing weekend, I hope you do something fun!
Today is coffee cake day. Enjoy a slice with a cup of your favorite warm beverage.

@golding76 Thank you so much. My SIL is Catholic, too. When he lived closer, I went to mass with him and my DIL. Family sometimes brings new experiences, but I had Catholic and Baptist (I went to a Southern Baptist college before UNC) friends all through school. There were not many Jewish families until junior high.

We took a little vacay this week. It was enjoyable ... now back to reality.
