What a terrible thing to have to experience. It is just heart breaking.

I grew up in a very mixed religion neighborhood in Philadelphia in the  1960's and early 70's and never experienced any of what you have described.

Coming from a mixed religion family and neighborhood and being raised that way since birth with nothing but love and acceptance and now hearing such hatred is happening today is something I just can't understand. 

I guess I was very fortunate.

I wish you and your family peace.

@DREAMON  Thank you for your sentiment. It is quite chilling what's happening to all minority groups today. There is hatred bubbling up everywhere.
