I had a comment reported in a thread that was for the craziest reason I have ever encountered. A little back story here, The thread was started by a "new" commenter. I made the remark that the commenter could be new as there were very few comments. I replied to a comment about the person mentioning something personal. I had looked up the commenter and the personal info was different on another thread AND the info was nothing anyone could locate the commenter with. ANYWAY I was reported and deleted for "Unnecessary" information.

Read any thread in these forums and they are loaded with "Unneccessary" information BUT I get deleted? Is there anything in the guidelines that say that "unnecessary" information is forbidden? Please explain exactly what "Unnecessary" information would be so I will know not to post anything "unnecessary".

Ask one of the Mods. Use the @ sign and one of their names. Everyone has posts removed. It is not important as far as I am concerned.

@proudlyfromNJ No it is not important, I just think the reason was so stupid and would like to know the reason behind it. I sent a message to the Social Team about this particular moderator that has done things like this before to my comments. She deletes things I say but will leave the exact same comment on other posters comments.

I Really don't care if I get deleted BUT let it be for the right reason not something silly and stupid.

This post has been removed by QVC because of unkind comment

I was REMOVED a week ago.  Someone made a comment about unfavorable family relationships.  I then added my experience, and then poof within minutes.

A bit surprised, but I  accept the POOF.  This site belongs to QVC.  It is a shopping network.  I think they are darn generous allowing any of us to post anything beyond products.  There are other places to vent or say things about life in general all over the Internet.

Just my take on this.  They allow... TV and Movies, Book Club, Mom to Mom, Community Chat, Among Friends, etc.  If we were to GO OVERBOARD they would have the right to delete these forum choices plus more.

Just an FYI, posters cannot continually report other posters as they themselves will be banned or given time out. It is in the standards. So it won't be just one person reporting your posts.

Unless It is blatantly sexual, literal bad language, racist, completely harassing to a pecific poster repeatedly,or homophobic,I don't get why things are reported so much

Nobody likes a tattletail.  It seems some are so easily offended and cannot bear to even read something they find upsetting, rude,or against their beliefs and opinions. I actually once reported myself because I posted something that was possibly (by mistake) inaccurate ,lol.  I don't get how some even watch tv,Google search(stuff just pops up) etc.

If you are referring to the post I think you are my guess is that it was removed because you pointed out a name discrepancy on a different post not because you were advising the poster to remove her full name.

That is the one. There was discussion that the poster was a "troll" someone posted that she had posted her name and should not have. I looked up the poster and found that she used another name on another thread and put the first name only which was all that she put. So why was that unnecessary information when it was being discussed?

I was not the one that advised the poster to remove her full name another poster did that. I just pointed out that she had two names out there.
