@Carolina925 Drought here, too. We had thunderstorms last night, but it amounted to not much rain. Rain yesterday and today, but not many total inches to help farmers and our gardens.

NW Ohio...............so sick of rain, cold, wind, gloomy days. I think it's just supposed to be partly cloudy today, but still cold and windy. More rain tomorrow.........

I wish you all could send some of your rain to South Carolina...it's SO dry here! We've gotten a bit this week, but not enough to really help.

I heard on the news as of April 20, 2026, Raleigh, NC, has implemented Stage 1 water restrictions due to severe drought and low levels in Falls Lake. These restrictions, affecting Raleigh and surrounding towns (Garner, Wake Forest, Rolesville, Knightdale, Wendell, Zebulon), require residents to limit outdoor irrigation to specific days (only once a week).

Great map! I am so glad California is a little better. I have been though so many droughts since mid 70's. It seems like one loooong drought! The years of conserving wayer. Only being able to water on certain days, the bricks in toilets. Using shower water for plants. Pools were banned. We had the slogan for toilets, "if it's brown, flush it down...if it's yellow be mellow", lol. In the 70's we had the brown lawns, water company installed restricted shower heads. We were fined for over use. Up until a few years ago, It was floods or dried land. Farmers suffered, business went out of business. We didn't like it, but adapted. California is very proactive, for that I am glad. It was sad to see the acres and acres of fruit and nut trees left to die in the 70's and 80's, and the farmers loose everything. But again, more efficient farming was implemented and now it's a little different
