Re: Question about neighbor who passed away

A kind gesture is never a bad idea. A card might be appreciated more than you know.

...I never have yet

Felt a tinge of regret

For being a little too kind.

@SeaMaiden I would send a sympathy card as it would be neighborly and the right thing to do.

Re: Question about neighbor who passed away

My next door neighbor's wife passed away a year ago.  We also have been neighbors since 1992 but were not close.  I would only speak to them occasionally. I speak to my other neighbors much more than these neighbors.

When his wife passed away I sent over a small floral arrangement.  Of course that's not necessary but I would send a card just to let them know you are thinking of them.

I would put a card in the mailbox rather than send it unless y'all have a mail kiosk that's locked. It never hurts to show someone you're thinking about them, especially in times of need.

@GenXmuse   Just FYI it is illegal to put something not properly stamped and addressed in a mailbox unless you are a postal employee.

While it is certainly done sometimes, it's good to know that and in this case I'd send it.

I would send a card; it's a kind gesture.
