I recently saw a QVC ad a couple of times.  It was actually a very nice ad.  But the one glaring thing I noticed was that all the people they showed in the ad were very young and beautiful.

I can't remember if I even saw any of the old-timers in the ad, while they showed quite a few people.  It makes sense to try to pull in younger folks, as a lot of their long-time customers are aging out.

I saw a QVC ad on TV also.  I think once before a couple of years ago - they had some TV ads.

I don't watch any of the major msm channels - it might have been on HGTV.

Few are the times anymore that I can go to my local (New Haven) tv station website without a QVC video ad blaring at me.

I saw one last night on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries.

If I didnt know what QVC was, I sure wouldn't be interested in finding out.

The ad was flashes of hosts and people who sell, several names I do not know who they are.

There was nothing in that ad for me to say "hey, what's this all about, I'll go look".

To me, the people who put that ad together is way off, looked like groups of people who are having parties/gatherings and talking not a channel that sells product.

I would take a whole different approach, but what do I know, apparently they are doing finel

Both QVC and sister channel HSN are advertising on CNN.

The ads are well done, I think.

@bewise i see qvc ads on the the web sites of those that I click into or subscribe to, including the Wall Street Journal.  I really do not like it   The Q ads show up and then they enlarge and sort of come forward back and forth like buy this, buy this.  This happens not only with QVC but also with Atleta, JJill, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, etc.  How good is the tracking when one clicks into a website.

These types of ads are targeted specifically at YOU. When you click on other websites they know from cookies that you shop at or look at QVC on your computer. There is no privacy when you shop online.

They should concentrate on shipping orders and customer service rather than presenting ads with smiling hosts.

I've seen television ads for the Q (and some for HSN) for several months now.  I don't remember which channel(s) though.
