Yes to using credit cards. The savings do add up. Bill is paid off every

month.

Shop at a grocery store that adds up points and get rewards there too.

Every purchase gives you points. I saved up more than enough points

and am getting a free ham there and giving it to my neighbor. Our

family doesn't eat it.

Dave Ramsey has an excellent book about managing money.

@Desertdi   -   That happened here as well.  The teacher my son had played Dave Ramsey YouTube videos and left the room.  It became a huge joke for the kids.

Re: Q: How Do You Save Money?

I think most everything I do has already been mentioned but the most important thing is to live below your means.  That doesn't mean I don't treat myself to something occasionally but when I do, I can well afford it.  I'm also a bargain shopper with groceries, clothing, etc.  When something is on sale at the grocery store, I stock up if I have the storage space for it.  I have a cash back rewards credit card that I use for convenience purposes and it is paid off every month.

Re: Q: How Do You Save Money?

I think one of the first steps is establishing the habit of saving.  Even if you can only put away $5 or $10 a month it’s a start.  Add to it when you can, just keep at it.  Over time it adds up.  I started doing this when I was young and every time I got a raise part of it went to savings.
