Re: Princess Anne visit to hospice

To me it seems a little to sloppy. I always think to myself it looks uncombed.

All in all, I'm sure her older brother is glad to have her as a valued member of the family!  Smiley Happy

I've often seen her described as the "hardest-working member of the royal family" based upon the hundreds of official appointments and visits she makes every year. I've even read commentators opine that it is a pity that Charles can't step down and leave her the throne, although I don't think that is possible as she is far down in the line of succession. She's definitely an asset to him and to the rest of the family.

@AuntMame  I agree she always seemed wise, thoughtful and totally dedicated. So much more than the one who will inherit the throne. Hopefully, Charles can hang in there while William matures, lol

I also think Anne is so practical she would never wear shoes that hurt her feet, or be in clothes that were uncomfortable to get around in. I don't think she wears any new clothes.  Everything she has seems vintage, or almost antique by now.  They are quality clothes, very classic lines, and usually neutrals so they seem to absorb the passage of time, lol. There is one thing I hate, and she isn't the only one. It's those man detective style hats she wears. The style is severe and ruins her look, IMO only. I saw a phot old her this Easter in a nice teal/turquoise colored wool suit.  Then she had some old black, flat heeled, knee high boots . She looked good, then the matching hat, the ****** Tracy style .....but it isn't awful. She is certain,y, truely independent and level headed. You will never see her in Stillettos!  lol. Omg, the vision I just got gave me a chuckle

I always like Princess Anne. She knows her mind and sticks to it.

And proved herself when Ian Ball tried to kidnap her.

"On March 20, 1974, Princess Anne survived a terrifying kidnapping attempt on The Mall in London when Ian Ball blocked her vehicle with a Ford Escort and opened fire.  The 23-year-old princess famously refused to exit her car, replying "Not bloody likely!" when Ball demanded she leave, a response that became emblematic of her courage during the 10-to-15-minute ordeal."

Below is the photo of her visiting the police officer who was shot in the stomach by the kidnapper.

I wonder what careers Anne and the rest of the royal family would have if they were NOT in a royal family.  I think Anne would have done quite well.  The others, not so sure about that.

That shoe tilted just a bit to see the heel is about as stilettos that I could find.  The second photo it appears she did own some boots that had a bit of a heel on them as well.It is hard to see in this size print but on the Elle magazine site the heel on her crossed leg looks at least two inches. In 1971 most women did have a few pairs with heels.  She is a rock star without the rock music.
