@CAcableGirl2 Can you believe that a friend of ours from our former church? , said and I quote "Don't bother praying God will do what he wants any way "

I had a friend who just had this done at 7:30 am. It worked and put his heart in normal sinus rhythm. He was at a restaurant eating breakfast at 9:30. He is on blood thinners but still doing great.

An acquaintance who is a cardiologist had recurrent afib. When it occurs he walks over to the hospital and has himself 'paddled' and goes back to work in a few hours. He is in his later 70's. Also on blood thinners.
Things sure have changed.

@BeccaLou Wow, that's all I can say. I have never heard anyone say that before.

Thank you. I don't know when your DH is scheduled. Mine is first week of December. I will post here. He fell this morning while I was getting breakfast and cut himself, and being on 2 blood thinners, it bled quite a bit.

I sincerely wish your husband the best outcome with this procedure. Cardiac conversion is very common these days, and both of my friends who have had it, have been thru it multiple times, successfully.
What drew me to your post, were your words expressing your fears. Someone I loved very much had the level of fear you have expressed; not talking was exactly how she dealt with situations too. She let her fears get the best of her, resulting in a level of regret she could not overcome. Even the addition of her own health issue did not push her to face fear head on.
Fear and regret, pushed this person to make a decision that changed my entire family forever. I had to accept the person I saw as strong and capable, let her fear about everything, destroy her life, and many lives.
It bothers me to see others dealing with strong fears, and urge you to find the inner strength and determination to face them head on, knowing you can, and will do whatever you need to do to handle the situation!

@BeccaLou Thank you. Same for you. We had to postpone his surgery until after Thanksgiving because we wanted this time with family.

@BeccaLou wrote:Well the procedure for my husband was done on Friday and they did a EKG before the procedure and after and they feel it took. So he seems to be doing well. But his mood is horrible to me. This is not new
You are a sweet caring lady. Your husband on the other hand? From what you have said in your posts, it appears to me he cares only about himself. And at the same time doesn't really care much about taking care of his 1 and only body.
After he gets good news he "takes it out on you"¡ There is a whole lot I could say about people like him, and both genders, but!
Take good care of yourself and worry less about "what's 'is name".
