The power was restored early this morning and Internet restored a few hours ago.
This earthquake was kinda scary and I don't get scared easily. I even experienced the Whittier quake in the mid 80's. The house shooked and then swayed side to side. I heard a lot of breaking of objects in the house.
It got cold but I the fireplaces worked and the stove also worked. I was happy that I had a battery charger as my phone was at 10% charged.
I just discovered a big puddle of water around my water heater. Trying to find someone to come out to look at it/fix it but have been unsuccessful.

Was this up in Humboldt County? I know what you're saying about earthquakes not being too scary especially if you grew up with them. We grew up in the Bay Area and could handle most of them. Yours sound like it it was a biggie.

@Runner26 Glad you are ok. How scary! I have been through several living in the Seattle area. Been about 20 some years since our last one that was a 6.0. They say we are due for THE BIG ONE at anytime.

@rockygems123 Yes, it was in Humboldt County.

Thanks, everyone, for kind words!
Still no luck getting anyone to come out for a service call.
On another note, went to Costco today and it was so crowded and hard to find parking, which is suprising for this area. The meat/seafood, bakery pretty much bare.
