No, I didn't put up many decorations this year. Our weather is usually great this time of year. I spend a lot of time outside enjoying our mild and sunny winters.

I keep my decorations up for quite a while, love the lights. I do miss having my son around 24/7 though and do get sad after he leaves. Of course we will be together again next month to celebrate my husbands birthday and then again in March for my sons birthday. I often wonder how I survived not seeing my son for 6 months when he was working in Europe.

There is so much drama with some family members that I can't wait for it to be over with. My BF gets very upset with his two (out of state) sons as they never call to thank him for the gifts he has sent to the grandkids.

I'm with @hellie jo .  I have winter a few winter cottages by David Winter.  Until I get all of the decorations put away, I feel like there is a load of bricks on my head! after Christmas.

All I have to do is call and say we'll take the boys for the weekend!Smiley Happy

No, not sad at all.  Glad it's over and can't wait to get the house back to normal.

I am happy when it’s all over.  I’m ready for everything to get back to normal.

I enjoyed being over my daughter’s house Christmas Day and her Christmas party on Saturday.

One of my favorite things to do is go places where I don’t know people.  I met some new friends and reconnected with some of her old friends and neighbors.

I agree about tree lights.  I have a fake Fiscus tree with lights on it.  Sometimes I turn on the electric fireplace and light the tree in the TV room.

I think lights and sunny days are tops on my list of things I like a lot.😻

It's a yes for me, but can not wait until 2019 is over.

Christmas is different after the kids leave home and if there are no grandkids.  I still put up the tree and decorate the house; DH and I still exchange presents on Christmas morning.  On New year's Day, though, I take everything down and get ready for the new year.  I really LOVE Christmas, but when it's over, we move on.

I start pruning the fruit trees and the roses in January and planting perennials for the upcoming seasons.  The daffodils are starting to come up and will be blooming soon.  Now I look forward to spring!

No sadness.  However, I do enjoy how happy the neighborhood seems with all the colorful lights so when it all goes away there is a temporary emptiness until I adjust to the lack of color & fun all the decorations bring with them each year.  I need to remind myself that if they did not go away I would not appreciate and treasure them nearly as much each year.  I like to think spring is just around the corner but in reality we have 4 more months of cold, snow & blowing.
