Does anyone else feel kind of lost and sad when the holidays are over?

Me!  I love the tree lights. They will stay up for a while yet.

It really brightens up the dark mornings and nights

I wouldn't exactly call it sad but I do feel a let-down after the tree and all of the christmas lights come down.    The house seems so empty for a few days.

It doesn't last long though because it's nice to get everything back to regular order.

I don’t think I feel as “bluesy” as I used to, now that DH is retired. Plus, my house is pretty cheery even when I put the decorations away, and we have mostly sunny days here so that helps too.😎

I love seeing the lights, our neighborhood goes all out, but I'm glad we're getting longer days and looking forward to summer again!!!!!

@house_cat  Yes a little let down. After all the planning, buying presents.cooking and get togethers with family and friends,it is then quiet. The good news is,we get to do it again next year! Now it's time to relax a bit. When the Christmas decorations are gone,I still have beautiful candles and winter decor so it doesn't"t feel so empty Here"s hoping the New Year will be good for everyone! Have a good one.

Some neighbors have their outside decorations and inside trees down already. I'll never understand the rush to pack it all away. I do feel a little sad when we take the decorations down. It's the exact opposite of how excited I feel when we put it all up.

Yes, I do feel a little sad and cannot believe how fast the time has gone by.  I always am so uplifted when September arrives, love the Fall and the festivities which follow.  I will keep the trees up and decorations displayed until the weekend after New Year's Day.

With all that being said, I do try to enjoy each day as it comes and look forward to happy times ahead.

I wouldn't describe it as feeling sad but after the holidays, my home feels and looks dull and lifeless.  It seems sort of empty without the tree and the decorations and the lights and candles.  And I always feel like there is something I should be doing but I don't know what it is.  Then....we go on vacation to somewhere hot and sunny and fun in February or March and when we get back, I start thinking about Spring and Summer.  However, this year our winter vacation will be in mid April.
