@SleeplessinSD , your memories are lovely. I only had one sibling, an older brother. He passed away unexpectedly during covid. It is just the 3 of us here today. I don't remember if you know that our son became disabled about 15 years ago. He has lived with us since. Brian is our only child.

We slept late this morning, and had a late breakfast. Our neighbor grilled burgers and they brought us some this evening.  I had cooked beef tips, and carrots, but they will keep for tomorrow.

@Tissyanne , I'm sorry to hear about your brother and also your son, Brian.  My brother passed away in January right before the outbreak of Covid. He had been diagnosed with a lung disease prior. He suffered. I have two children. Our son, Gary, lives about an hour away. We see him often. Our daughter, Rosemary, lives out of state. I talk to her every day, and we'll be visiting her early September. How kind of your neighbor to bring you burgers. We had a quiet day and barbecued steaks. I'm tired. It's been a long day. Sleep well, my dear friend....

@SleeplessinSD , thank you, I am sorry about the loss of your brother too. A sibling has a special place in our hearts always. I am sorry he suffered. 

You are blessed to have both a son and a daughter. We have been so proud of Brian, and his disability after a serious illness has been devastating for us.

We enjoyed our food last night, and our neighbors are kind people. The man is in the national guard. They have young grandchildren, 

Today has been relaxing. I always enjoy the holidays with my DH here all day.
